there are certain notes
certain verses
certain words
that when i hear them all i can think of is you
in a rush of colors, a flood of memories, a tidalwave of emotions and i can do nothing but stop but take everything in
i smile to the world in these moments
you light up my heart
and bring joy to my mind
i open my mouth and sing my praises to you as the music surrounds me
in those moments, you are there, tugging on my hand and singing with me even when you are not there
i forget the world and realize there is only you
